Once a moment is experienced the mind processes it into a memory, yet memories are only a perception of our lived reality. Over time, how and what we remember shifts and is filtered by our internal fears and desires. The constant destruction and reconstruction of recalled moments causes them to become altered and unclear; they are equally imperfect and constantly changing. You may remember your childhood bedroom but can you recall what hung on the wall or the color of your bed sheets, or rather is your memory a combination of glitched fragments, small and vague details from here and there?
These photos explore such gaps through the overlapping of moments, thin pauses of distorted information, subtle shifts of perspective, and the loss of clarity.
