Allude to Manuscripts
The first ever printed books are noted as the beginning of design history.
The Illuminated Manuscripts, which were some of the first explorations of book design, had pages filled with floral embellishments. I believe that all design can be sourced back to some form of nature. The representation of nature at the beginning stages of visual design brings this idea full circle; the origin of design becomes the inspiration for a product that acknowledges the origin. In my work Allude to Manuscripts I express the same conversation between design and nature.
